We've all seen the ads. "Custom mugs for two dollars!" "Promo gear delivered in 48 hours!" They sound great until you're on the receiving end of an order that doesn't look anything like what you expected, arrived late, and cost twice what you thought.
Big promo companies are built for volume, not for you. Here's what that really means — and how working with me is different.
The Price Is Rarely the Price
Large sites lead with eye-catching low prices, but those numbers rarely include setup fees, rush charges, artwork conversion costs, per-box shipping fees, or upcharges for multiple logo placements. By the time everything is added up, that two-dollar mug can easily run six dollars — and it still may not arrive on time. When I give you a quote, I walk you through all the costs upfront. No surprises.
There's No One to Call
With a large site, you're often dealing with a ticketing system, a chatbot, or a phone queue. Nobody reviews your artwork before it goes to production. Nobody checks whether your deadline is actually achievable. With me, you have a real person you can text, email, or call — someone who knows your order and is invested in getting it right.
Mistakes Don't Get Caught
Your logo prints too small. The ink color disappears into the shirt fabric. The sizing runs completely off. These things happen, and big sites don't have anyone looking for them. I send proofs, check placements, and flag issues before production starts. I'd rather push back and ask a question than let you receive something that doesn't represent your brand well.
The Products Are Often Low Quality
Low-cost sites tend to offer the cheapest options available. The items may not be durable, the print quality may not hold up, and the apparel may not fit or feel the way you'd want. I help you choose items that feel good, last longer, and reflect well on your company.
Your Timeline Is Nobody's Priority
On a large site, your order is one of thousands. If something goes wrong, tracking it down is your problem. I follow your order from placement through delivery, check in with suppliers when needed, and let you know if anything looks like it might cause a delay.
You Deserve Better Than Cookie-Cutter
Your company has specific brand guidelines, a particular audience, and a vibe you're trying to create. A generic site can't account for any of that. I can — because I take the time to understand what you're going for before recommending a single product.
